How to Confirm Your Club Car's Voltage
Maintenance Notes by Voltage
36V Club Car DS: Six 6V flooded lead-acid batteries. Requires regular watering. Compatible chargers include older Club Car 36V brick chargers or modern Lester/Delta-Q 36V smart chargers.
48V Club Car: Six 8V batteries. Requires compatible 48V charger. The newer OBC (on-board computer) charger port on Precedent/Tempo models is a different connector — confirm plug type before buying.
Upgrade Path
Older 36V DS carts can be converted to 48V with a new controller, charger, and batteries. Alternatively, a lithium drop-in pack in the same voltage (36V or 48V) significantly improves range and eliminates maintenance. Call 1-844-844-6638 for Club Car–specific upgrade options.
