Best DENAGO Models for New Jersey Buyers

NJ Shore Towns: DENAGO CITY or ROVER XL

DENAGO CITY ($16,500) — For Cape May, Ocean City, and Wildwood buyers who need factory-certified street-legal status. The CITY's FMVSS 500 NEV certification is the cleanest path to legal street operation in NJ shore municipalities. Cape May County and Ocean County municipalities increasingly require proper NEV certification for road operation on designated streets.

DENAGO ROVER XL ($10,995) — For shore families of 4–6 who prioritize passenger capacity. The 6-seat configuration handles the whole family in one cart for beach runs, restaurant trips, and boardwalk cruising throughout the season.

NJ Campgrounds (Pine Barrens, Pocono Adjacent): DENAGO NOMAD XL

The DENAGO NOMAD XL ($9,995) is our top recommendation for NJ campground buyers. The Pine Barrens campground terrain — sandy soil, gravel access roads, occasional wet ground — suits the NOMAD XL's all-terrain tires and lifted suspension. The 55-mile range covers a full active weekend without mid-session charging.

Popular NJ campgrounds served by TIGON:

• Wading River Campground (Burlington County)
• Chestnut Lake Campground (Burlington County)
• Atsion Recreation Area, Bass River State Forest
• Camp Gateway (Bergen/Hudson area)
• Timberland Lake Campground (Burlington County)

NJ Retirement Communities: DENAGO ROVER XL6

Active adult communities across Ocean, Burlington, Cape May, and Gloucester counties consistently choose the DENAGO ROVER XL6 ($12,995) for its premium interior, quiet operation, and passenger capacity for visiting grandchildren and guests.

New Jersey Golf Cart Laws: What DENAGO Buyers Need to Know

Street Operation

New Jersey permits NEV (Neighborhood Electric Vehicle) operation on streets posted 35 mph or under. The DENAGO CITY qualifies directly as an FMVSS 500 NEV. Other DENAGO models require equipment packages for street operation — contact your TIGON NJ location for current package availability.

Shore Town Ordinances

Individual municipalities control whether golf carts are permitted on their streets. Cape May City, Wildwood, Ocean City, and Sea Isle City NJ all have ordinances governing golf cart operation. Ordinances vary in specifics — always confirm your local municipality's current rules before purchasing.

Registration and Insurance

NEVs (DENAGO CITY) must be registered with the NJMVC and carry liability insurance. TIGON assists buyers with the registration and MCO process at time of purchase at all four NJ locations.
