Ohio Golf Cart Laws — What Toledo-Area Buyers Need to Know
Ohio's golf cart rules are determined at the municipal level. Most NW Ohio communities have adopted ordinances permitting golf carts on streets posted 35 mph or under. Toledo, Maumee, Perrysburg, and most Lucas County townships have ordinances allowing registered golf carts.
For statewide unrestricted road use, Ohio recognizes Low Speed Vehicles (LSVs) through the Ohio BMV. Factory-certified LSV models from TIGON include the DENAGO CITY and Evolution D5 Ranger with DOT package.
