Golf Carts in the Pocono Mountains: The Complete Local Guide
If you spend any time in the Pocono Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania, you already know that golf carts are everywhere. From massive resort developments like Pocono Mountains Village to private lake communities throughout Monroe, Pike, Carbon, and Wayne counties, the Poconos have embraced golf cart culture in a big way.
TIGON Golf Carts serves Pocono Mountain customers from its Long Pond store (4738 PA-115, Long Pond, PA 18334), with Pocono Pines as a service area.
Why the Poconos Are Perfect for Golf Carts
- Private communities: Hundreds of gated lake and mountain communities allow golf cart use on internal roads without full street-legal registration
- Campgrounds: The Poconos have dozens of major campgrounds — Pocono Vacation Park, Yogi Bear, Mount Pocono Campground — where carts are essential
- Resort developments: Communities like Pocono Mountains Village, Lake Harmony, Arrowhead Lake, Pocono Farms, and Emerald Lakes all have significant golf cart populations
- Golf courses: The Poconos have 30+ golf courses, many of which serve TIGON Golf Carts customers
- Flat-to-rolling terrain: The Poconos' varied terrain is manageable for modern electric golf carts — especially lithium-powered models
